Birmingham Children's Hospital

26 Apr 2019

At Prime we have always taken our corporate social responsibility seriously and take pride in the effort our team put into our fundraising activities. We have committed to various charities over the years, each for two year period, and have raised £80k in total.

One charity we previously supported during 2015 and 2016 was Birmingham Children’s Hospital, a fantastic children’s hospital based in Birmingham which treats 250,000 children each year. During our time supporting the charity we raised over £25,000, the majority of which was raised through our 3PS challenge which saw the firm take the classic 3 peaks challenge two gruelling steps further by cycling to the peaks, walking up them and rowing across a nearby leak.

Alongside our fundraising efforts, a number of the Prime team got involved with projects run by the charity such as “ArtCart” which is their volunteering scheme that offered our team the opportunity to take part in arts and craft sessions with patients and families of the hospital. We also took participated in their “Ward Decs” program which saw a team from Prime decorating a ward at the hospital for Christmas to fit their Frozen/Winter Wonderland theme.

Birmingham Children’s Hospital is a charity close to many people’s heart at Prime and the team appreciate the opportunity to give their time as well as money raised. As such we have once again nominated Birmingham Children’s Hospital as our nominated charity. We look forward to planning fundraising activities and making a positive difference to the hospital and the lives of its patients.

Director, Kevin Johns, said “We are extremely proud of how committed the Prime team are to raising money for such important causes. They have put in their own time and effort and it is purely to help others. The team were keen to support a charity that they felt they could get fully involved with, and from previous experience, they knew that Birmingham Children’s Hospital would present this opportunity, as directors we agreed and are delighted to be supporting Birmingham Children’s Hospital again. Watch this space for details of our next fundraising activity.”
