Graduate programme opens early for 2022

9 Mar 2022

We have enjoyed phenomenal growth in the last year and are excited to be opening our 2022 graduate programme early this year to support our increased capacity.

During what has been a tumultuous time for many industries, we are incredibly proud to have retained and grown our teams across the business.

Our aim is to continue with this upward trajectory and create our own pool of professionals who can be nurtured by our already existing and highly-skilled team.

Programme details

Our graduate programme is open to anyone at degree level with good quality A-level and GCSE results with a minimum of B/6 in GCSE maths and English.

The programme offers successful candidates a chance to learn a wide variety of skills, including the functionalities behind audits, accounts, corporation tax and how accountancy software works.

Your ‘on the job’ learning will be augmented by theoretical training as we offer a fully-supported and funded study package, allowing graduates to obtain professional qualifications at college.

Tackling challenges with the right people

Our director Morgan Davies said: “It’s been a strange few years for all industries and many are still dealing with the effects of the pandemic.

“In the midst of this, youngsters have also struggled with the fact that several firms did not take on many graduates. In fact, some did not take on any in 2020.

“Prime, however, has took a different stance, as we knew the only way to tackle challenges was with the right people, and what better way than to nurture this talent yourself.

“It’s why last year we took on the highest number of graduates we have ever taken on and are looking to do the same in 2022.”

Words from a successful graduate programme candidate

Accounts senior Emma Pithouse joined Prime as a graduate in 2016.

She said: “Prime’s graduate scheme was a great transition from university to work. It provided me with hands-on experience from the first day in my role and allocated time off to attend the accounting courses.

“The audit and accounts department are a very approachable team, meaning that I’m never afraid to ask questions, and have had a great support network throughout. It has allowed me to achieve my goal of becoming a chartered accountant and continues to guide me in growing within the department.”
