Saddled up on bikes for charity

We’re incredibly proud to have been one of the main sponsors for the Le Tour in 24 event that was organised by the Solihull Chamber of Commerce in February.

Our very own Glen Callow and Molly Davies saddled up for the charity event and were part of a team which rode the distance of the Tour de France in just 24 hours, all to help raise funds for the chamber’s dedicated charity, Arrive Alive.

Passing the torch

We launched ‘Le Tour in 24’ back in 2020 when we raised more than £18,000 for our nominated charity, Birmingham Children’s Hospital.

This year, we passed the torch to the Solihull Chamber of Commerce which organised the event to raise money for the Birmingham-based charity, which uses donations to purchase new vehicles and equipment supplied to lifesaving volunteers who attend local medical emergencies.

Our managing director, Kevin Johns said: “As a firm, we think it’s very important to support the local community and charities and, over the years, we have organised many challenges and events to raise money for different causes.

“When we put together Le Tour in 24 and took on the challenge just before the pandemic hit, we were very pleased with the attention it gained as well as the amount we raised for our nominated charity.

“It’s an honour to now pass this event onto the Solihull Chamber of Commerce and would like to congratulate all of the chamber members who took part; we hope they all had as much fun as we did.

“It is our pleasure to have been sponsors and know the amount raised will be very much appreciated by Arrive Alive. We are so proud of Glen and Molly for taking part at this fantastic event; everyone involved should be incredibly proud of themselves!”.

Appreciation of time and funds

“Their support and sponsorship along with the other amazing supporters of the event made a massive boost towards the current total of more than £8,000 raised for Arrive Alive.

“The funds raised from the event will enable an additional voluntary operated 999 vehicle to become operational to assist West Midlands Ambulance Service with saving lives, at a time when an additional eight vehicles are urgently needed.

“Arrive Alive is solely funded by donations and relies on the support of the public to continue to operate within local communities. The support received from Prime Accountants is greatly appreciated.”
