Emma Clewes

Emma joined Prime in September 2023 as Head of Tax. She recognises the importance of the SME environment and has a wealth of experience advising SME and owner managed businesses.
Emma qualified in 2004 as a Chartered Accountant having started training in 2001 at a small independent firm in the Midlands. She then moved to work within the Big 4 and Top 10 firms before joining Prime.
Emma has gained a wide range of experience of different industry sectors and has specialised in business taxes including corporation tax, restructuring and R&D reliefs. Emma’s focus is on providing commercial advice to SME business owners and a holistic view of their tax position.
Away from the office, Emma lives with her husband and two children in Stourbridge. She is a keen rugby union fan, having coached to junior colts level, and enjoys open water swimming. Emma also enjoys walking and is often found outdoors in all weathers walking her two dogs.
