At Prime Accountants Group,  we believe in going the extra mile for our community and clients, so sponsoring Solihull Women’s Stride Squad (SWSS) is a natural next step. SWSS now provides a space for over 2,600 women to feel safe and connected.

What is Solihull Women’s Stride Squad?

When two women met on a Men’s Walking and Talking walk, they could scarcely have imagined that the connection they forged would result in a vital community resource for so many women. Hundreds of women regularly attend the weekly walk, all with different reasons for being there and each finding comfort among like-minded individuals.

SWSS now operates as a Community Interest Company (CIC), enabling them to support women in Solihull through connection, compassion and community.

How does Solihull Women’s Stride Squad help the community?

SWSS was founded on a shared realisation that women need their own space where they can breathe and be as they are without fear of judgement. Over 2,600 women have benefited from the support of SWSS as they feel genuinely looked after by the group.

There is no obligation to do anything aside from walking. Some women enjoy talking to their fellow striders, bonding over the triumphs and challenges that shape their lives, while others enjoy a quiet, reflective time away from the pressures of the rest of the world. For women who are less confident, the Stride Squad Buddies are on hand to welcome them into the group. Their friendly, approachable nature helps women relax into the group and often is the reason many come back week after week.
