Bringing Christmas cheer to kids at BCH
Our team brought festive cheer to the young patients at Birmingham Children’s Hospital by stepping into Santa’s Grotto.

A kind-hearted team from Prime Accountants Group brought festive cheer to the young patients at Birmingham Children’s Hospital (BCH) by stepping into Santa’s Grotto as part of the hospital’s Magic Makers programme.

Martin Farrell donned the red suit as Santa with Terry Reeves, Shannon Walden, Tracey Hawkins, Stacie Youell as his elves, to hand out presents and bring joy to children and families spending the festive season in hospital.
Throughout the afternoon, children were welcomed into the grotto to meet Santa, share their Christmas wishes and receive gifts.
Prime is a proud long-term sponsor of BCH and has raised an amazing £112,000 through a series of annual challenges, as well as sponsoring the hospital’s stem cell transplant ward – Ward 19.

An uplifting experience
Shannon, a forensic senior manager at Prime, said: “Volunteering as an elf in Santa’s Grotto was an incredibly uplifting experience, bringing smiles and a bit of magic to some very brave young patients.
“It was a wholesome and magical experience. Seeing the excitement and smiles on the children’s faces was really heartwarming.”
Santa himself – Martin – added: “It was great seeing the kids so excited to meet Santa and his elves. Being able to help give the children a magical experience meant a lot to all of us.”
